Melchior van Wijlen Melchior van Wijlen is Managing Director and co-founder of Optiqua. Prior to Optiqua Melchior van Wijlen was co-founder of the market data technology company MarketXS, and responsible for the international and large scale business development programs. Melchior van Wijlen has a background in corporate finance and aerospace finance and served at ABN AMRO and NIBC in various positions. He received an MSc in Business Administration from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
Dr. Frans CarpayDr Frans Carpay has an extensive network in the Singapore technology and business community, including contacts at the highest government level. His background of 40 years experience in R&D and R&D management includes top level positions at Philips where he was Global Director of Philips Research from 1988 to 1993. One of his main accomplishments was the development, manufacturing and market introduction of the CD and CD-ROM. The negotiations with Sony also took place under his supervision. In 1993 he was sent by Philips to Singapore to set up a public research institute in manufacturing (Gintic; in 2002 renamed into SIMTech) to support the local industry in Singapore. As the CEO of SIMTech (and many related director positions in associated institutes or organizations in Singapore) Dr Frans Carpay built a valuable relationship network with access to key people in public organizations, research and the business community. In 2003 he retired as CEO of SIMTech and accepted a position as visiting professor at National University of Singapore, which he still holds today. Floris Alkemade Floris Alkemade is General Manager and co-founder of Optisense. Prior to Optisense, Floris Alkemade launched technology company MarketXS in 1999, with a vision of radically changing existing concepts of market data technology. In 2006, MarketXS was successfully sold to Markit Group Limited, leading provider of independent, multi-asset class, high value services for the global financial market. Prior to founding MarketXS, Floris served at ABN AMRO in various positions. Floris received a MSc in Business Administration from the Erasmus University Rotterdam and a degree as chartered accountant from the University of Amsterdam. |
